Walking around Victoria BC, I felt like I had stumbled upon some sort of Wes Anderson set. Buildings like the Bridgman building didn’t help that feeling.

Night in Korea-town

I have a love/hate relationship with taking photos at night. I love the look of nighttime photos, but they’re such a challenge to take. Less light makes everything harder, but still, I think this photo of Toronto’s Korea-town turned out quite nicely. Who doesn’t love Walnut cakes after all?

Fran’s in the Morning

Fran’s at College and Bay is an institution here in Toronto, serving up awesome diner food! Fran’s frontage also has the best lighting! I got up and headed downtown to get there just as the sun was rising to capture the awesome neon lights and other early risers!

Steel Drummer

Steel drums are fascinating to me, they sound like no other instrument and are just so fun. This talented musician was playing on them in the street in downtown Toronto.

Dundas

Dundas Subway Station in Downtown Toronto, is one of my favourite TTC stops. It is also the most hideous. This bright yellow tile is everywhere, and it always looks dirty, no matter when you visit. The dirt adds a sense of grime and despair to what could be a really cheery and friendly station.
