Ridding the TTC can sometimes feel like hoping on a time machine. the lighting combined with the grime and vintage tile made me feel like I was back in the 70s for a while.

Underground History

The TTC is old. Relatively Speaking. Peel back the layers of tile and brick and you can see the feats of 20th century force, full of girders and nuts and bolts, like this shot of the ceiling of the St. Patrick TTC Platform.

Spadina

Toronto may not have as extensive a subway network as London’s Underground or as sprawling as the NYC Metro, but that hasn’t stopped it from adding character to every station. Spadina’s artwork features Subway and Street car pictographs as it’s one of the major transfer hubs for the TTC.
